Casting of Changes is a quiet place to ask a question and cast the I Ching. This policy explains what we handle, what we never do, and how your reading is made.
When you cast, three kinds of information pass through our hands:
At your sixth cast, your question and coin lines are sent to an AI service provider, which composes your interpretation. The request lives in temporary server memory only — we do not keep a copy of your question or your reading on our servers after your session.
Your reading is kept in this browser tab's own storage so you can step away and return. It is cleared when you close the tab, and you can erase it at any moment by choosing "Clear & start again" or simply closing the tab.
If you buy credits, payment is processed by our merchant of record. Your card details go to them and their banks, never to us. We receive only the order status — which pack, whether it succeeded — so we can grant your credits and handle support.
Only the parties named above: our AI provider (your question and lines, to compose the reading), our payment provider (order data), and our hosting provider (technical logs). We may disclose information when the law genuinely requires it.
Server side: transient request memory and short-lived technical logs. Browser side: your current session, until you close the tab. We keep no long-term profile of you.
You can ask what we hold, ask us to correct or erase it, or withdraw consent. Email hello@castingofchanges.com and we will respond within a reasonable time — because we hold so little, most requests take minutes.
The service is not directed at children. Purchases require you to be at least 18 years old, or your region's age of majority.
If it changes materially, we update this page and its date.
