Joyous

The lake doubled: two waters mirroring each other — shared joy that keeps a friend, and the test of what joy is really saying.

Two lakes lying together, reflecting each other: Joyous is the hexagram of shared pleasure — the company that sustains, the exchange that gladdens. Its counsel is double-edged in the best way: joyousness keeps friends — and true joyousness must be examined for what it is saying, not just how it feels.

The tradition is wary of joy that flatters. The gathering should rest on reality (the inner shore of the lake), and the good should be shared precisely because it was real. Joy examined and still joy is the strongest material a life can be built from.
