Enthusiasm

Thunder breaks the silence and the earth listens: Enthusiasm is the hexagram of momentum — the rally, the launch, the mood that moves a whole field at once. It counsels using it: set the drums, appoint the messengers, ride the wave while it rolls.

Its shadow is being swept. Enthusiasm that is only borrowed from the crowd evaporates with it. The discipline is to know, before the drums start, what you would still endorse when the noise has gone — and to keep one sober friend close.
