Day master · Yang Earth
戊土 · Wù tǔ
Yang Earth is mountain ground and city walls — earth with a public job. A Wu day master tends to be the stable one: slower to promise, then immovable once promised; people instinctively build against them.
In the four pillars, the day stem is the self. With Wu there, the self is a load-bearing structure — calm in crisis, suspicious of drama, and quietly proud of being the plan that still works when every other plan fails.
Earth in the Chinese calendar holds the season-joins: the transitions between the four seasons, where things settle and change hands. Wu people are at their best exactly there — in handovers, endings, and the unglamorous middle of things.
The shadow is stubbornness that outlives its usefulness. A wall protects, and also blocks; the reflection is knowing which one it is currently doing.
